Maryska Connolly-Brown

Hampden-Sydney College
Technical Services Librarian
Maryśka Connolly-Brown joined the Bortz Library faculty at Hampden-Sydney College in the summer of 2015 as the Technical Services Librarian and the library's archivist. Her background includes teaching at the K-12 level, managing electronic resources, cataloging, and serving as an embedded librarian in the College of Allied Health Sciences at the Medical College of Georgia. Prior to earning her MLIS, she worked as a paraprofessional in Special Collections and has straddled the divide between technical services/systems and archives/special collections ever since. She has a passion for technology and enjoys discovering the hidden history of a college, making digital collections an inevitable pursuit. She is currently a judge for the VLA Diversity in Comics Award, a member of the Esther Atkinson Museum Planning Board, and the geek-in-residence at the Bortz Library.
