As Head of the Media Center, my work is focused on both the analysis and production of Media and I lead a team of 5 professionals specializing in media design, digital literacy, media production, public service, access & description, use metrics & analytics, and resource management. Our Media & Design related instruction services and research support are geared toward UNC faculty, students and staff. Much of my daily work centers on our digital literacy and media production consultation and instruction programs, curating the research-level film and media collection as well as providing consultation on the research and instructional use of traditional & new medias. I also speak on documentary studies; provide instruction on aesthetic and narrative aspects of media production and visual thesis development; and consult on emerging media.
